Mallorca FAQs

Welcome Friends!

Mallorca 2026 is very dear to my heart as it unfolded from auspicious new beginnings and friendships seeded at Gurmukh's Tulum Kundalini Retreat in 2025. The retreat space allows us to get quiet and clear enough to hear and feel, intuitively, which next steps are right for us. I'm so thrilled you are entertaining joining us on this journey! Whatever your level or style of yoga may be, this is an opportunity to dive deeper into your relationship with self-care, healing and manifesting the best version of yourself.

Who is Laurie?

Laurie Sasser teaches slow flow yoga, restorative yoga, kundalini breathwork and meditation taught in the prana vinyasa style of Shiva Rea, Laurie's root teacher. Laurie's retreats feel like a warm embrace, a weighted blanket, a deep exhale in these energetically volatile times. When we access these deeper states of our nervous system, we experience the opportunity for clarity and expansion. The opportunity to look in the mirror and see exactly what needs to shift.

What is the style of Laurie's Retreats?

The lunar solar rhythm is such rich terrain and ripe with opportunity for growth. We dive into the cycles of nature, the seasons, and experience solar/lunar yoga postures. We experience the ebb and flow of the tides and allow nature to permeate deeper layers of our energetic body called Koshas. This sync with nature, aligned with lunar and solar, has a profound impact on the body. When we honor the body as a microcosm as the macrocosm, we experience a beautiful, primal unfolding. We remember how it feels to walk through the world as our best selves, moving from soul alignment.

What is Rasa Vinyasa?

In Mallorca, we will pair this rich elemental terrain with the concept of Rasa. When we call in Rasa we connect with the sweetness, the nectar of our practice and our life. This is an invitation to open your heart to the subtlety of the koshas. Often compared to tasting a drop of honey on the tongue, Rasa is deep connection the harvest, abundance, play, taste. It is enjoying the dance of life.

What is the structure of the Mallorca retreat?

How do we arrive to Mallorca and Osa Major?

This retreat is structured so that if you are arriving from the US you have the weekend free on both sides of the retreat. We arrive to Osa Major on Sunday September 27th after 3pm and depart at 11am on Saturday October 3rd.

Typically, you can arrive into the airport Palma de Mallorca (PMI, sometimes called Son Sant Joan). If you are arriving from Spain there is also the option of taking a ferry. Osa Major is about 30 -40 minutes from the airport PMI inland and upward into the hills in the center of the island.

Please email retreats@lauriesasser.com to inquire as to a group airport transfer to and from the airport.

Can my partner join me?

Absolutely! Laurie's retreats are an open container of learning and support rather than a rigid structure. We honor all pathways of meditation and inner work, acknowledging that everyone as their own doorway to these healing states. Please email retreats@lauriesasser.com to discuss bringing a partner with Laurie. There are many activities and fun ways to explore the island.
